What we do

The focus of First Street Design Build is to create homes that are inspiring, healthy and affordable while remaining resilient in the face of the challenges posed by the Gulf South climate. To achieve this, we value and prioritize aspects of our buildings that others may not: tight building envelopes, advanced insulation, standing seam metal roofs, advanced HVAC systems and careful selection of indoor materials, appliances and finishes. Our approach produces homes that are more comfortable, durable, cheaper to maintain, and have exceptional indoor air quality.

How we do it

In order to achieve our performance and quality goals, FS-DB approaches design and construction of the home as an integrated and interconnected system. From concept to delivery we work collaboratively with our clients, architects, engineers and tradespeople to understand how decisions affect our goal so we achieve them together as a team. We value transparency, accountability and performance - both in our homes, and in their delivery to our clients.
